Belo Baby Talc-Free Powder Review

For me (and some people) who oils up real excessively, powder is something that keeps me going especially during hot and humid season where sweat mixed up with oils--turning me into a huge grease ball. As much as I'd like to wash my face more often, the idea of dusting some powder over washing the face to get rid of oil sounds even more possible and convenient given the very limited time I have (feeling artista lang, bes?). With thatI have always been fond of using baby powders to instantly freshen up just because I hate using makeups on a dirty face (Is it just me?). Anyway, apart from the ever famous Johnson's Baby Powders, here is another one that's committed to be safe and free from any harmful chemicals. Sounds promising and I got sold!

CLAIMS (as per Sample Room)

A gentle powder that’s made with zero talc and provides all-natural protection from diaper rash. Made from certified natural and fine milled rice and maize that absorb moisture to keep baby's skin soft, fresh and dry. Carefully formulated without talc, gluten, phthalates, parabens, dyes, and most common allergens. Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist-Tested. Perfect for all skin types.

The product comes in a bulky tub with 65g of powder inside. It is completely sealed upon purchase and displays necessary information. For me, this is harder to utilize than those usual powder bottles wherein you just have to twist the cap and tap until you dispense the exact amount. Belo Baby Powder has a puff inside that you can use to seize the powder but is messier to apply 'cause the powder tends to slide off before you get to apply it on your skin. Also, I find that the puff (made of something like microfibers) is a bit irritating. I won't take it against Belo Baby Powders, it's just that I am not fond of using puffs ever since, I prefer brushes or my hands.

The product has a subtle sweetness to it. If you have tried Belo Body Wash and Lotion for kids, you'll know they have almost exact scent. It's not overwhelming and I'm sure even ladies out there will love it!

The powder looks very white and pure, a little bit awkward to the touch because it feels like touching corn starch (why not, it's one of the main ingredients lol). It feels rough and dry as well--perfect for those with oily skin because it absorbs moisture effectively. With this, I think those who perspires a lot will find this amazing in that department. Although, given the texture of this, I won't recommend it to those with dry to normal skin type because it feels really drying. I like that this powder is finely-milled, sets easily on the skin without leaving any white cast. I even tried setting my foundation with this, and it looks good cause it imparts brightening effect without overdoing it.

We've all probably heard that talc--primary ingredients among most powders--are fatal when inhaled and is carcinogenic, meaning they are linked to cancers and other respiratory diseases. It's better to know that there's Belo Baby Powder which is made of all-safe and natural ingredients like fine-milled rice and maize that does exactly the same. Even though I am still doubtful about the harm brought by talcum powders, it's better to indulge in safe products, better be safe than sorry, right?

Another thing I like about it is how it effectively controls oil and instantly makes my skin shine-free with only a little amount to use. It did not cause me to breakout nor trigger any adverse skin reactions. Even if it's meant for baby use, it won't pain you to keep this as a setting powder for your daily makeup as well.

I like Belo Baby Talc-Free Powder but I must admit that it terms of texture and ease of application, I would still prefer those with talc on it because they are smoother and able to blur out pores. Though safety comes first so I won't argue anymore. If you are very meticulous with what you are using for yourself and for your little ones, consider using Belo Baby Talc-Free Powder and you won't have a single regret.
