Althea Korea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser Review

Althea Korea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser
Bought for: Free | SRP: P430/150ml
From: Althea Korea

Here's another Althea exclusive which I am so, so excited to share with you, guys. Ugh, it's supes easy (okay, got this from watching Project Mc2 lol) to love Althea when you know that it's a brand that focuses on creating beauty products that are both efficient and affordable. They also uses star ingredients that has been known and tested since time immemorial. So this product that I'm reviewing is something an urban femme should have to have. Anyway, here goes my review for Althea Korea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser which was launched a little earlier than Althea Korea X Titi Kamal Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist I just previously reviewed.

Combine the powers of a cleanser and serum with Althea's Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser! This beauty superhero whisks away makeup, dirt, and oil with mint extracts while ensuring the skin stays cool and hydrated throughout thanks to a dual moisture cell system that envelopes the skin in a serum-like formula. It prevents the skin from drying out and effectively minimizes enlarged pores, keeping it smooth to the touch. This product also helps to balance the pH levels of the skin to keep it working in tip-top shape! Best of all, it's gentle on the face and suitable even for those of us with sensitive skins.

Water, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Cyclomethicone, Isononyl Isononanoate, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Citric Acid, Hydroxyacetophenone, Disodium Edta, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Citrate, Butylene Glycol, Fragrance

Mint leaf extract - Cools down the skin and soothes irritations
Jojoba seed oil - Deeply moisturizes any dryness without feeling heavy
Tea tree leaf extract - Has antibacterial properties that purify the skin

I love the simplicity of all Althea exclusives packaging. They are nothing fancy but they look so neat and tidy. Color schemes are chosen wisely, even the fonts are clear and crisp. I apologize if I always have comments with packaging and stuff--it's my inner love for designs.

Product is completely sealed in plastic and it even has a inner seal upon arrival so you're undisturbed with the idea that it may have been opened at some point. (Product expiration usually starts from the moment a container was opened.) And as always, I would appreciate if it has an English translation. I know Althea's hearing us and they've been planning to do this for a long time.

Bottle's tinted aquamarine and is made of sturdy plastic material so you can easily bring it everywhere without the fear of it breaking. The cap shuts tight with a click too.

This cleanser has a subtle minty scent similar to Green Tea but looking closely to the ingredient list, it does not contain Green Tea at all. Nothing overbearingly strong or chemical-like.

I must agree that this product has the texture and consistency of a serum. Comes in clear liquid form that is so smooth to apply on the skin. Sometimes, when I was an extra exfoliation, I would soak a cotton pad with this and gently rub it all over my face before washing. All makeup, dust and dirt are removed. I'm left with a slightly oily layer that washes away so easily. Unlike other thick cleansing oils, this one is very lightweight and easy to rinse without leaving traces of grease.

The best application would be using it together with a little water. Just dampen your skin, pour a little amount of this cleanser on your palms and gently rub to remove makeup. A little goes a long way.

You're left not with only a clean but hydrated skin too every after use. This serum cleanser is very mild and it doesn't sting the eyes nor the skin so it's safe for those with sensitive skin unless you're allergic to any ingredients mentioned above. My skin doesn't usually like Tea Tree Oil so I'm happy I didn't break out from using this product at all.

What I love about this product is how touch it is on makeup but very gentle on the skin. All you need is approximately a teaspoon of this and your makeup will melt away effortlessly. On days without makeup, I still use this before my usual facial wash because it's supposed to purify the skin, getting rid of all the gunk stuck in your pores which is very likely to happen to someone who does a 4-hour commute every freakin' day.

So basically, this is a must-have for me. It's a basic skincare product I know I can just skip but because of all the things it can do to my skin, I don't and won't ever dare. Using it for weeks now, it seems to balance my skin's pH level, playing a huge part in the overall state of my skin. This is definitely an awesome cleansing solution that's easy to use and non-stripping.
