Bioessence QuadWhite 4-in-1 Soap To Exfoliate The Skin

This week, I am very fortunate to get a 3-day off from work. Yesterday was the first day but I pretty much did nothing. I've been procrastinating a lot lately and I want to put an end to it (at least for now lol). Today, let me share with you my thoughts about Bioessence QuadWhite 4-in-1 Soap.

Bioessence is one of the skincare brands that I genuinely love. I remember how my first facial turned a success and following it up with using their Acnetrol line gave me the clearest skin I've ever had in my entire life. If only I can bring back the time... I guess this is when it hits hard when they say, 'you're not getting any younger'.

This premium soap contains a blend of 4 whitening ingredients (L-Glutathione, Carica Papaya Extract, Kojic Acid and Vitamin C) that helps the skin to be fairer, brighter, brighter, and young-looking.

Benefits: removes skin impurities and excess oils; lightens skin discoloration

So much whitening ingredients for a single soap, eh? To be honest, I didn't know this soap exist until this one time when I wanted to repurchase Acnetrol products online. I key in the brand name and it showed me all the products available. I saw this soap and got intrigued because the seller said that this is great for underarm and bikini areas. I've had problems with chicken skin and uneven skin tone for quite a while so I guess trying it out won't hurt that much.

Let me just appreciate the packaging - I like that it's made of eco-friendly materials with a little bit of plastic. Nothing fancy but I like minimal designs so.

This soap lathers richly and it goes a long way. It's one of those soaps that has a sudsy formula to the core so there's nothing to waste. It gets mushy easily, mind you, so make sure to store it in a dry place after use. What I normally do is cut the soap in half (or even smaller if possible), so I don't have to wet the whole soap at once. I don't know 'bout you, but this is me being practical.

I didn't take this soap seriously and I didn't expect that much either. I initially thought that it works just like other soaps wherein you just have to lather and rinse and wait for a miracle for your skin to lighten up.

My main target were the parts that seemed darker than the rest of my body - bikinis areas, underarms, knees, elbows, ankles - so I only apply this soap to these areas every time I take a bath. I leave the lather on for about 3-5 minutes before rinsing it off. I was surprised when I noticed that my skin is peeling on the 3rd day of use. Ooooh, that was quick! The good thing is that it's peeling but not to the point where it's uncomfortable. No severe dryness or irritation from having the urge to scratch the skin from time to time. Whenever I do, maybe it's just my hair starting to crawl up. LOL.

I've tried peeling oils or body exfoliating products before but nothing feels gentler than peeling with this soap. It doesn't force your skin to shed excessively (if you know what I mean). There are visible peeling but the dead skin cells that it removes are very fine so skin peels evenly. As a result, you get softer and smoother layer. Skin feels tighter and more even. It also lessens textures so it would be great if you are looking for something to smoothen out your chicken skin.

I haven't used it for the rest of my body since I'm not into lightening anymore. My dream now is to make my skin to look more even. I haven't tried it on my face either but I might give it a shot especially I have a lot of blemishes and pimple scars. I'll just give an update once I'm able to try it out.

The only thing I hate about it is that it's hard to find, all Bioessence products are. Because of the pandemic, I couldn't drop by any physical stores (they are also far from where I live) so online buying is my last and only resort. I'm just lucky to maybe spot one or two sellers who have available stocks.

So would I repurchase? Surely, my answer is yes. I'll continue using until I'm satisfied. For only P180. this product is worth buying.

Pond's Anti-Bacterial Refreshing Face Mist Review

I've been binge-watching Love Alarm but I'm against the couple who will end up together so I'm turning my phone off and out of frustration, here's comes an entry to this blog. I'll share my quick review of Pond's Anti-Bacterial Refreshing Face Mist (50ml/P100) which I got together with Pond's Anti-Bacterial Facial Foam a few months back.

There's nothing really fancy on the way it looks but I appreciate the minimalist design. I think it's very neat. It's also small so it's quite handy but sometimes I mistook it for my alcohol spray bottle. LOL. All the information and claims are printed in the back part, as well as the ingredient list.

Pond's Anti-Bacterial Refreshing Face Mist
Fresh and protected from germs instantly. Refreshing face mist with Skin Defense Technolog, 100% organic roses and 5 vitamins. Fits 99.9% germs on skin for fresh, clean and healthy glowing skin - even when wearing mask. Gentle on skin. 0% alcohol.

I do believe that Pond's develop their anti-bacterial range to cater to the most common skin problem we experience nowadays: maskne. I am thankful to be working at home now because I don't have to commute and wear face masks. I remember some time in June when I was asked to report onsite and my face itches every now and then. I get breakouts on areas where face masks could cover so despite the discomfort, it's the only thing that saves me from people who would stare at my skin. Up to now, they still left blemishes especially on my lower cheek, chin and jaw area.

Now that I'm working from home, it doesn't guarantee that I am safe from germs and bacteria. Having face mists that are anti-bacterial is genius because it kills even before microorganisms invade your inner system.

Pond's Anti-Bacterial Refreshing Face Mist has a floral scent because of the natural rose extract. Some may probably find it off-putting but I like it. It's very refreshing on the skin and is quite hydrating too. It reduces dryness and dark patches and most of all, helps in keeping the skin clear and prevents infections. Depends on your usage, one bottle may not last you a long time. Mine only lasted for about a week but that's because I was so into it that I apply it multiple times everyday. I guess it just kind of became a habit just like how spraying alcohol has been in our daily lives.

Pretty In Pink This Summer With Ever Bilena Eyeshadow Palette

Summer is coming, which means it’s time to welcome more colors into your everyday look! This season, bring out your cute and fun side and try experimenting with pink hues with the help of Ever Bilena’s Eyeshadow Palette in Pink (P150), but currently on sale for P38 only at select participating stores to celebrate Ever Bilena’s 38th birthday!

Here are some easy eye makeup looks you can try:

Pink Glossy Lids

Upgrade your basic eye makeup to something more runway-worthy by adding gloss to the lids. To achieve this look, prime the eyes with primer or concealer. Apply the pink shades from the EB Eyeshadow Pink Palette on the lids then top with lip gloss. Be warned, one of the downsides of sporting this look is that you may experience some slipping or creasing on the lids - thanks to the gloss. So don’t forget to have your eyeshadow brush, gloss, and EB Eyeshadow Pink Palette (don’t worry, they’re pretty handy!) in your purse for a quick touch-up.

Cat Eye

For added drama, try the cat eye makeup. You will need a thin angled brush for creating precise lines. Draw a line from the outer corner of the eye then connect it to the middle of the upper lash line. Fill it with the pink hues from the palette. Clean the edges with makeup wipes or cover excess eyeshadow with concealer.

Upside-Down Eyeliner

This easy-to-do eye makeup look may be simple but can be very impactful. The trick is to keep the eyelids neutral so the color on the lower lash line pops. Apply concealer before applying the eyeshadow and before sure to blend well to avoid harsh lines.

Soft and smoky

If classic is more your thing, go for the soft and smoky eye look. Complement your pink lids with black liner on the top lash line and then smudge it out with a brush.

Feel the vibrant vibes of summer by incorporating pops of color into your makeup looks using the Ever Bilena Eyeshadow Palette in Pink. Available on Ever Bilena’s official page on Lazada and Shopee. Avail of the sale, visit Ever Bilena’s official Facebook page (@everbilenacosmetics) and Instagram (@everbillenofficial) to know the participating stores.

NITA: My New Favorite Local Clothing Store

Loading your wardrobe with unique pieces that have beautiful cuts and great craftmanship is an investment for me. It's not enough that you can create millions of OOTDs with what you have. It's owning clothes that not only fit and emphasize your body, but clothes that are so you, regardless of the brand and the price tag. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what kind of style you're into, because they aren't supposed to define you, set you apart or make you stand out. You make them shine and that's the truth.

I've had enough of neutral, plain garments and denims that lately, I've been obsessing over fashion prints. It's not that I forget my old clothes or how my taste was. I have this purpose of mixing and pairing them up to take my dressing game up a notch.

Since I hate to go out, I've been spending time browsing different online shops for unique, high quality printed and patterned dresses and tops with the hopes of getting the right size. Affordability is one thing I always consider, but nothing should be greater than quality clothes that won't go out of style.

This might be a hard feat considering that fashion is fast-changing, yet here comes Nita Clothing.

Nita. Just a name for some but for sisters/store owners Krisna and Carla, Nita stands for so much more. Aptly named after their mother, the person who spurred their passion for fashion, Nita Clothing is an indie shop that is all about the love for variety, color, and individuality.

Proudly 100% Filipino made, clothes from Nita are designed by Krisna and crafted by her team from high-quality materials. They are then lovingly packaged and branded by the sisters.

The Nita store makes sure there is something for everyone - whether you are looking for office outfit staples, date night dresses, trendy numbers, casual chic attire, or sweet ensembles. Always striving for originality, designs are sold in very limited quantities - a personalized gift from Nita to you.

I am not in any way sponsored/paid to write this blog but writing about clothes got me so hyped up. So far, I only own total of four (4) dresses from Nita - I never know they existed until only a couple of weeks ago but so far, I love the first few picks I got from them.

You ever browse through a shop and feels like their style speaks to you and calls your name? You probably think that it's too early to gush about it but it's not always everyday that you come across a brand and think of bulk buying because you are having a hard time deciding which dress is better!

This is not me being an impulsive buyer here. I feel that the shop deserves so much because I can tell that they put so much effort in making each piece looks like it's personally made for someone. I can feel that the clothes I bought were just made for me. Their sizing is accurate. They have good customer service. I love how they choose good quality materials and how they cater to everyone's style. And most of all, Nita Clothing is a Pinoy brand.

I am loving their dresses more than anything - I'll never worry about running into someone who wears the exact same thing. I think the prints and patterns are so rare, dainty and delicate. Each style is so classy and easy to pair with. But most of all, I think I'd wear them forever LOL!

I first saw them on Shopee but you can also place your order through their Facebook page. They also have a physical shop in Greenhills.

My Morphe & Luxie Beauty Makeup Brush Haul 2021

So I've noticed that I only have one blog post for this month and so I'll make it two. Just kidding! Anyway, last November and December 2020, I've checked out some items from Morphe and Luxie Beauty and it took me about 2-3 months before I got a hold of them. I couldn't be more patient, right? Since I bought them straight from their US websites, I had to seek the help of Shipping Cart once again so I don't have to worry about my parcel getting stuck in the customs office or being charged more when it's time to pick 'em up.

The good thing about freight forwarders like Shipping Cart is that they consolidate all the items I bought into one parcel and then ship them straight to my doorstep. No hassle at all. And by consolidating, I get to save on international shipping cost. Still not amazed? I've used their service for about 3-4 times now and so far, never once did I encounter any problem in terms of handling, customer service and shipping time. I do online shopping all the time so I hope to not get to the point where I would switch to a different courier.

I've been doing quite a lot of introductions, am I? To know more about how Shipping Cart works, you can also read my previous post about them HERE.

You don't know how excited I am to share this haul with you because you know how deeply I am in loved with makeup brushes and now, I'm adding more to my growing collection! I apologize for unboxing them hastily and using the recycled papers they were wrapped in as my background. LOL.

Babe Faves 14-Piece Eye Brush Set

Babe Faves 10-Piece Brush Set

This is my first time buying brush sets from Morphe and I wasn't disappointed at all. There were a couple of blending brushes and a face brush I wasn't exactly happy with but the rest were superb. I can't believe I copped 24 makeup tools for just a little over $100 when they are actually valued at $229. No wonder, these are so-called "babe faves". They are, indeed, for a reason.

Luxie Radiant Set

Luxie Summer Daze 4-Piece Set

I am so pleased with the new sets I've bought from Luxie. I own quite a handful of brushes from this brand and those that are with me for years are all of good quality. Their rose gold line is such a cute sight and their bristles were just soft like baby's butt. I think they are worth the splurge and the good news is that they always offer good bundles and deals. If I am not mistaken, February is their birth month so one of the best time to shop and score brushes for like up to 60% off!

Luxie Face & Eye Gaea Collection

This collection is a must-have! I love the white bristles and the eco-friendly pink handles to bits! Another good thing is that buying this set will be for a good cause!

Luxie Prestige Essentials 6-Piece Brush Set

Luxie Glimmer Set

I also like this set because the bristles remind me so much of IT Cosmetics' which I have been eyeing for years. I can never purchase from IT Cosmetics site directly because they do not accept international cards for payment. I've been trying for years but to no avail. If there are other shopping sites that sells IT brushes, would you please let me know? I would appreciate it so much!

I also bought individual brushes that are not part of any of their brush sets. I noticed that there were more or less 10 brushes from their ProTools Collection which I haven't included here (those that are in black handles and are an upgrade from their Rose Gold line). I already own lots of them but I decided to repurchase because I don't think they would still mass-produce their ProTools later on. Again, all of the brushes have soft heads and does a great job of blending makeup products!

Just by re-reading this blog, I could really say that I am such a makeup brush hoarder. Are you too? I'd love to see you comment down your favorite makeup brushes and recommendations! Until next time, beautiful freaks! Love lots!

Natrol Biotin Beauty Supplement Review

It's been a while since I last updated this blog when I promised to be back from hiatus. I've got some issues in life right now that I'm currently dealing with, things that I am not really proud about telling. You know, there are days when you feel like you're healing from things and days that you feel like you're broken again. It's so hard to understand and it's been going on for a year now. I'm still trying to be better by doing better but at times, I feel like I'm failing myself. Anyway, enough drama. I'm getting up again today, I feel better and I'm thankful. Today, I'll be sharing my thoughts about Natrol Biotin Beauty Supplements (P1,200) which I've been taking since October 2020. Basically, I've been taking it for about four straight months now.

I've been experiencing more hair fall than usual before I started taking it (*ehem* aging and anxiety) and it's the main reason why I finally decided to seek the help of this supplement. I wasn't sure why I opted for Natrol but it's probably because I've tried their Melatonin some time last year and it really worked with my irregular sleeping pattern. There are a lot of brands out there, I'm sure you know that and just a disclaimer, I haven't tried other Biotin products yet other than this one from Natrol's. Maybe some time in the future, if I switch to a different brand, I can do a comparison review.

Natrol Biotin Beauty comes in three (3) strengths: 1,000mcg, 5,000mcg and 10,000mcg. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I think that they are all potent doses but I feel like like 1,000mcg is just not enough for me (LOL) and 10,000 mcg is just too much. Anything in excess just gets wasted so I just stick to the 5,000mcg. I don't have a basis for this so don't hate me please. Haha. Anyway, they say that it's "fast dissolve" so it gets absorb faster. I'm not sure why or if that ever matters but it sure sounds good.

I'm not sure if all Natrol Biotin áre flavored but I also chose this variant because it tastes really sweet and is strawberry-flavored! It makes me look forward more to taking it everyday. I also bought the one with 250 tablets which I think helps me save a bit and I don't have to worry about running out for months. It's kind of hard to buy imported products, yes?

I did a quick research before as to which supplement is beneficial for the overall health of the hair, skin and nails and Google leads me to Biotin. If you are unsure or has very little information about this Vitamin, you may refer to THIS article by The main reason why I bought this was because I've been experiencing hair fall. It's just nice that it's also beneficial to the overall skin and nail health so that's an added bonus. Anyway, hair fall has been going on for months or even years now and it just became more serious some time last year so I thought, I need to do something about it. I know (with research) that it would take months before you see a noticeable effect which is why I've only written about it just now.

So did it help with my hair fall? Absolutely! I haven't changed my hair care routine, but I've noticed that my hair fall has lessened. I have been using Head & Shoulders for as long as I can remember and if I do change for a moment, I'd eventually switch back to it. So you see, I haven't used anything new other than taking Biotin daily but my overall hair health improves. I normally clean the toilet filter every day because there's just too much hair strands stuck on it but I no longer do it as often. I get so scared every time I comb my hair too but not anymore. I still get hair fall but it's no longer as severe so I am indeed a satisfied user.

The only thing is that it won't make hair thicker. I didn't expect it to so it doesn't really bother me. I will just continue using this product to help strengthen my hair and hope that soon enough, I'll suffer lesser hair fall.

Thank you all so much for dropping by. Remember, always find a way to love yourself! Cheers!

Pond's White Beauty Perfect Potion Essence Review

I've been breaking out since last week and I'm not so sure why. My period just ended and so it must be hormones. Ugh. Good thing, I've got something here that saves the day! Pond's White Beauty Perfect Potion Essence has been calming my skin by providing instant hydration. I first saw this in Sample Room. I'm glad that they have it because I wasn't ready to spend P499 (110ml) right away for a product that I haven't tested yet. By the time I was writing this, my bottle has almost ran out. I've been using it everyday for likand increases application during the times I feel like my skin is dull and parched.

Can't we just appreciate how gorgeous the packaging is? It's pink and just...pretty. End of story. It's made of thick plastic, a twist cap, sturdy enough for something that's worth P499. It doesn't leak at all so it's safe to bring during one of your travels. I also appreciate that it has loads of information at the back. I like reading them so I would know what it could do to the skin and set my expectations too.

Pond's White Beauty Perfect Potion Essence contains 110ml amount of product. I don't mind paying P499 for a skincare product, I just honestly wish that there's more. This is a product that you can use 3 ways: as an essence, toner or mask so it requires you to really use plenty of it in one go. Maybe if a bottle contains a bit more than the given amount, I wouldn't complain at all.

Pond's White Beauty Perfect Potion Essence is inspired by Korean skincare routine so that explains the 3 ways (toner-essence/serum-mask). If you are someone (like me) who occasionally skip a step or two in your daily regimen, products like this are the best option. It saves you time and money as well.

This product claims to brighten the skin, fade blemishes and dark spots, and hydrates for that plump, healthy skin. With 4D Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Complex + (4 different types of HA that can moisturize and hydrate each layer), Gluta-boost essence (antioxidant that works 10x more effective than Vitamin C and also works to brighten skin and fade dark spots) and Vitamin B3+ or Niacinamide (which reduce dullness and minimize the appearance of pores). I like any products with Niacinamide because it usually helps with the overall look of my skin.

There's a lot of popular ingredients that you will see on the list of ingredients so it must be the reason why the price is a bit steep. Given that, you will really expect a lot from this product.

I apply this product every morning and night time using a cotton pad. On days when my skin feels a little extra dry and looks dull, I'd just pour a generous amount on my palms, dab it on my face and let it absorb all the moisture. The essence is clear and runny so my skin doesn't have a hard time absorbing it. It dries to a lightweight, slightly dewy finish. It won't give you the glassy skin that we all want, but it's enough to make your skin look hydrated and plump every single use. If you wish to skip moisturizer, feel free to do another layer until you're satisfied. You can definitely do "skins" with this without any stickiness.

I've been using it for about three weeks now and it works well with Pond's Age Miracle line which I've been using for about a month now. I like how this essence feels so comfortable on the skin and doesn't make me oil up too much. When used with a cotton ball, it could deeply cleanse the skin too as it removes excess dirt and oil from the pores. Thus, it helps absorb anything you apply afterwards.

Pond's White Beauty Perfect Potion Essence has a slightly floral scent which my nose can tolerate. I like it actually. Out of the three ways you can use it, I like it best as a toner (so I can save every precious drop LOL). This is great toner to make your dark spots and blemishes appear less visible and to add radiance to your overall complexion. All you have to do is to use it religiously. If you have more severe problems like acne, you need a product that's really intended for it to use in conjunction with. Prolly the only thing that holds me back from repurchasing is the price point. If only it comes in a bigger bottle, or if it goes on sale, then I definitely would buy again.

Moringa-O Malunggay Herbal Hair Relaxing Serum Review

Hey, there! I'm not much in the mood right now because it's first day of work (LOL) but one of my new year's resolutions is to always be productive and never procrastinate. There's some spike of energy here because I really like this product that I'll be sharing with you in a few...the Moringa-O Malunggay Herbal Hair Relaxing Serum With Argan Oil!

I don't know about you but if there's a part of my body which I pay attention less and tends to neglect most often, it would be my hair. I used to have naturally straight, thick hair but the stress and anxiety level plus lack of TLC seem to made it dry and lifeless. I frequently suffer from dandruff and hair fall and no matter what I use now, they just seem to not work at all.

Time to try something new, I said to myself. It's always risky but what else have I got to lose? It was some time last year when I saw this product from Sample Room. It was free, so I didn't hesitate and just paid for the shipping. It came in a box that's double the size of the product itself. The bottle is small and sturdy and is travel-friendly.

Moringa-O Malunggay Herbal Hair Relaxing Serum With Argan Oil claims to "nourish and moisturize, revitalize, smoothens and tames fly-aways, protects hair from breakage, non-greasy and lightweight." The box it came with was so wordy but still very appreciated because I like reading product descriptions.

This product has ingredients that are popular and tested such as Malunggay (Moringa), Olive, Omega (Sunflower) and Argan Oils. These oils are very rich in anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals: Vitamin A, C, D, E, B-Complex, essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and 9, calcium and other minerals.

There's too much in this small bottle so I really expected a lot from it. I wasn't disappointed though. The serum is clear in color, slick and shiny but definitely dries to a lightweight finish. One thing I hate about most hair serums is the fact that they tend to make hair so oily. I have straight hair so it tends to oil up so fast. I did not experience it with my Moringa-O. It tames each strand and evidently moisturize it sans the oily residue.

Whenever my hair looks dry and all over the place, I would just pump a small amount in my palms and distribute it all over my hair and it would instantly look neat. It makes hair color more vibrant too. I love how healthy my mane would look after application. The good thing about hair serums is that you can apply it whenever you wish to. I like applying it to dry hair so I have the control and see whether I'm putting enough serum or not.

I haven't cut my hair for almost a year now because of the lockdown but I make sure to apply a generous amount of this product to the hair roots and ends to keep it moisturize and prevent split ends. So far, it's doing a great job. With regular use, it could stimulate hair follicle growth. I used to shed so much hair especially during bath but applying this serum on my scalp before going to bed while taking Biotin has improved my hair fall in just two months.

I now found a hair care product that I would definitely repurchase over and over. I just feel like my hair is so compatible with this product. This is perfect for those who have treated hair and has been suffering from damages. Definitely such a steal for only P220 (55ml)!

Real Techniques 412 Custom Cheek 3-in-1 Brush Review

Because I am a sucker for makeup and beauty, here's another short feature on a makeup brush I've got last year. I bought it around the same time I got my Real Techniques Retractable Bronzer Brush. This isn't practically new in the market but I like sharing things I like in this blog so I hope you don't mind.

I'm sure you got at least one brush from Real Techniques in your stash (never heard of any beauty enthusiast who does not), so you are familiar how each brush are packaged so I won't go over it anymore hehe, just look at the pictures. ;)

First and foremost, let's just appreciate how the brush handle looks like. I mean look at that ombre pink shade, isn't that gorgeous!? The handle is made of plastic and has a matte texture. It has a button on the side that allows you to retract and custom the brush in three levels depends on how you'd like to use it. The higher you push the button upward, the more it flares to its full size. You can slide it down and fully hide the brush to avoid it getting flimsy or dirty.

So far, I don't know any brands who ever released brushes like this so I think that's really smart of Real Techniques. For one brush, you get multiple uses.

Real Techniques 412 Custom Cheek 3-in-1 Brush has a tapered end. For me, the density is just fine at minimum since I always opt for a natural-looking flush. However, it's still up to you because you can customize it depends on how intense you need the color to be. You can slide it up to min for a translucent kiss of color, mid for a natural flushed blush or max for a pop of color on apple of cheeks. It's really up to your liking.

If you're gonna ask me, I use my brushes for more than one single purpose. This brush right here is so travel-friendly and versatile that I sometimes use it as an all-over powder or setting brush in place of my other bigger brushes. It doesn't only save the day, but some space in your makeup pouch too! So far, the brush is still looking good in my possession. I mean the button is still functional as it still sets in place without moving or breaking. I just hope that it would last for years because I think that the moment the button breaks loose, it'd be as good as a piece of junk.

Apart from this custom cheek, they also have the custom complexion and custom contour brush which I've been wanting to buy ever since but always are out of stock. Should I spot an available one, I'd definitely buy!

Thanks for stopping by! Love lots!
